Combined Heat and Power
Customer benefits of the Alpcon Combined Heat & Power (CHP) units are:
- generates power from the excess heat in the combustion
- significant economic and environmental benefits
- cost competitive pricing
- short time-to-market as the distribution structure is already in place
- initial market is natural gas, with renewable, solid, liquid and gaseous markets following
The CHP units are self-powered systems and thus require no external power sources. The Alpcon unit generates power from the excess heat in the combustion and thereby increases overall energy and cost efficiency of the unit. Rather than only being able to produce heat, the Alpcon solution for CHP will also be able to cover a large share of the annual electricity consumption through use of the excess heat.
The initial market for the Alpcon CHP unit is natural gas; the advantage of this market being the short time-to-market. However, the technology is ready for immediate adaption to other fuel sources such as biogas, and with minor development, other renewable, solid, liquid and gaseous based CHP units.
Alpcon's CHP solutions are available for both homes and industry.
